Visit of the ghanaian delegation to kexport cluster and HAEE

In a bid to explore innovative waste management technologies and foster bilateral cooperation, a delegation led by Hon. Edmund Kyei, a prominent Member of the ruling New Patriotic Party in Ghana, met with Hungarian counterparts on April 9th, 2024. The delegation, comprised of Ghanaian businessmen and women, was warmly received by KEXPORT (Hungarian Export Promotion Agency) and the Association in Hungary, accompanied by Boldizsár Entz, Honorary Consul-General at the Consulate of the Republic of Ghana.

The primary objective of this visit was to gain comprehensive insights into Hungarian waste management technologies and share experiences to facilitate the transition towards a circular economy. During the meeting, representatives from esteemed Hungarian member companies, 3B Hungária Kft. and Envirotis Holding, showcased their cutting-edge waste management technologies and solutions to the delegation.

Gergely Hankó, the Managing Director, provided an overview of the Association and KEXPORT to the visiting delegation, shedding light on crucial waste management statistics, regulations, and best practices in Hungary. The event proved to be a resounding success, fostering mutual learning and potential opportunities for collaboration.

The delegation expressed keen interest in continuously working with the Hungarian Association for Energy Economics (HAEE) and the KEXPORT cluster in the future. Both organizations have demonstrated a commitment to promoting sustainable waste management practices and forging stronger ties between the two nations.

Furthermore, a unique invitation was extended to Hon. Edmund Kyei and the delegation to attend ENVIRONTEC powered by ÖKOINDUSTRIA expo, which features specialized conferences on waste management, scheduled for October in Budapest. Their enthusiasm for this event underscores their determination to explore and adopt innovative waste management technologies that align with Ghana's circular economy goals.
