Waste management and Circular Economy from a global perspective

The International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) is an international network of waste professionals and experts from around the world. Members from over 110 countries are working and cooperating in different Working Groups, Task Forces and projects. ISWA follows the freshest trends and news worldwide and playing an active role to establish sound waste management on every continent, in every country.

Visit of the ghanaian delegation to kexport cluster and HAEE

In a bid to explore innovative waste management technologies and foster bilateral cooperation, a delegation led by Hon. Edmund Kyei, a prominent Member of the ruling New Patriotic Party in Ghana, met with Hungarian counterparts on April 9th, 2024. The delegation, comprised of Ghanaian businessmen and women, was warmly received by KEXPORT (Hungarian Export Promotion Agency) and the Association in Hungary, accompanied by Boldizsár Entz, Honorary Consul-General at the Consulate of the Republic of Ghana.

On 26-27 March 2024, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) organised a South-East Europe platform entitled "Western Balkans Regional Waste Management Conference".

The plastic pollution of rivers can be managed with complex planning and international cooperation

A newly released policy guide, based on the experiences of river plastic pollution experts in the Danube basin, helps the protection of rivers worldwide.

Plastic Waste Partnership activities on transboundary movements of plastic waste

At its fourteenth meeting (2019), the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Basel Convention adopted decision BC-14/12 on amendments to Annexes II, VIII and IX (“Plastic Waste Amendments”) to enhance the control of transboundary movements of plastic waste and clarify the scope of the Convention as it applies to such waste.

Susterra Capital Partners selects WaterScope Inc, as its flagship investment in water innovation!

WaterScope, a Hungarian SME focused on the development of wireless data collection, sensor solutions and AI- based predictive modeling, has closed an investment agreement with Susterra for €600,000. WaterScope will use the funds to accelerate its international growth and plans to seek long term partnerships in global water hubs such as The Netherlands, the UAE, Singapore, and Japan.

SUSTAINtec 2020 Exhibition & Forum

We are nearing the beginning of 2020, which might be the warmest and with the most dynamic climate up to now. But it is also a crucial year for further change in policies and measures, development and investment in sustainable solutions.

KEXPORT in the land of ecoinnovations – AQUATECH Amsterdam

Our cluster is participating in a joint booth with 6 Hungarian environmental organizations at the Aquatech Amsterdam Exhibition.

4 clusters and associations signed a memorendum

During the ENVITECH international fair in Brno (07-11.October), four clusters and associations signed a memorendum. The aim of the agreement is to promote the cooperation amongst the V 4 organisations and to find common issues to collaborate on international markets and to develop environmental products and services.
